My name is Clarke Eteng and I am a traditional tribal tattoo artist from Borneo, Malaysia. I am currently based in Harrisburg, PA (USA), but I travel often to conventions and guest spots worldwide.

My art is inspired by and incorporates the rich tribal tattoo histories of Borneo, the Philippines, & Polynesia. I specialize in tribal techniques such as Borneo handtap and handpoke, and I also use machine.

My tattoo career started back in 2010 as a "skin-stretcher" to local tattoo artists in Kuching, Sarawak. I traveled with my teachers around Borneo, learning the histories and tattoo techniques from the elders of many Dayak tribes. As I became more proficient in the trade, I traveled to other Asian countries such as Indonesia, Phillipines, and Thailand, learning the similarities and differences in each respective tattoo culture.  I've been fortunate to travel and learn in Tahiti, New Zealand, & many countries across Europe. I moved to the USA to be with my wife in 2018 and have been based in the states ever since.

I am the only Borneo-born tattoo artist working in the United States. As much of Borneo tattoo history was lost after western colonization, I am proud to be apart of a modern revival of the art of my ancestors. Thank you for your interest & I look forward to working with you!
